Job summary

Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is seeking a Summer seasonal Server to provide exceptional service in our dining outlets, warmly welcoming guests and delivering meals with a personal touch.

You will take orders, explain menu selections, and maintain knowledge of our food and wine offerings while upholding the Fairmont standards and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years’ experience serving in a restaurant.
• Alberta ProServe certification required.
• Proficient with POS platforms including Silverware and OpenTable.
• Knowledge of wines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Anticipate guests' needs while providing information on food and beverage selections.
• Take orders and deliver food and beverages promptly and professionally.
• Maintain knowledge of all items to assist guests with menu selections.
• Enhance revenue through suggestive selling techniques.
• Maintain accurate guest checks, handle cash, deposits, and balance sales at shift end.

Job Description

Join us as a Summer seasonal Server with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, you will be an ambassador for the exceptional service and cuisine that are hallmarks of our dining experience. Your warm, personal attention and knowledge of our outstanding food and beverage offerings makes guests of our restaurants and lounges feel unique and valued.

Start Date:August 2026
Pay Rate: $17.22hour
Job Type: Seasonal

Job Duties Include:

• Anticipate guests' needs while providing information on food and beverage selections
• Take orders and deliver food and beverage items in a prompt and professional manner
• Maintain knowledge of all food and beverage items in order to assist guests with menu selections
• Enhance revenue flow through suggestive selling techniques
• Maintain accurate guest checks, handle cash, make accurate deposits, and balance credit and cash sales at the end of every shift

Qualifications

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience serving in a restaurant
• Alberta ProServe certification
• Proficient in using POS platforms including Silverware and OpenTable
• Passion for food and wine with a knowledge of wine service
