Our Opportunity:

Rainbow Greenhouse supplies Annuals to Home Depots in Western Canada. We are seeking highly motivated and hard-working individuals to merchandise our product at our Home Depot Garden Center in Port Coquitlam, BC.

Job Summary:

Merchandisers are responsible for the care and presentation of the annuals in the Home Depots, restocking product, and maintaining visual displays. Successful merchandisers work diligently, pay attention to detail, follow directions thoroughly, and are self-motivated. They ensure the visual appeal, pricing, and inventory management of our products.

Work Environment:

Shifts are spent outside in the Garden Centre – rain or shine, and sometimes in snow during early seasons.

• Must be a team player, open to collaborating with all team members.
• Maintain a positive attitude in all situations.
• Complete tasks from start to finish with full effort and attention to detail.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Physical work: able to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to push/pull and reach, involving repetitive movements.
• Unloading carts of product onto tables and/or carts.
• Pricing products appropriately when required.
• Reporting inventory needs to supervisors.
• Creating merchandise displays according to Rainbow merchandising standards.
• Standing for long periods, walking over 20,000 steps per shift.
• Being self-driven, prioritizing time and duties effectively.
• Maintaining high energy levels.
• Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Smartphone with data plan for email, photos, and apps.
• Personal and reliable vehicle preferred but not required.
• CSA steel-toed shoes required for the shift duration.

Preferred Skills:

Excellent people skills, adaptability, self-direction, organizational skills, problem-solving, and physical capability for manual labor.
