Job summary

Mount Washington Alpine Resort in Comox Valley is seeking an Outdoor Elements Lead Hand to serve guests on the retail floor, answer questions about the resort, and keep the store organized and well stocked. You will be the go-to person for retail inquiries, delivering outstanding guest service on the front line.

The role offers opportunities to grow with the team, with a focus on leadership, teamwork, and a positive, energetic attitude in a busy seasonal environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Holds a valid Serving It Right certificate or is willing to obtain one.
• Organized, positive and thrives in a busy environment.
• Enjoys leading by example and supporting guests and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving and merchandising.
• Assist manager/supervisor with hiring salespeople, training and counseling staff.
• Oversee cash-out procedures and cashier training.
• Act as floor supervisor when the retail supervisor isn’t present.
• Assign daily tasks and maintain a team atmosphere in-store.
• Ensure store is well merchandised, clean and tidy; manage stock levels.
• Assist with inventory and notify manager of low stock or customer warranty issues.
