Job summary

Sunshine Village Corporation in Banff National Park is seeking a Retail Inventory Assistant Supervisor to lead inventory operations, manage stock levels, and oversee receiving procedures. Responsibilities

• Supervise inventory operations, including task delegation and management of Inventory Assistants.
• Support the Inventory supervisor with employee performance; reviews, incentives, coaching/warning forms.
• Maintain an in depth knowledge of the Lightspeed/POS programs.
• Generate and analyze reports to support floor operations and understand inventory levels.
• Organize stockrooms, oversee store replenishment, internal department transfers, and warranty procedures.
• Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure efficient stock replenishment.
• Perform full receiving procedures from purchase order creation to item counting.
• Assist in fulfilling ecommerce orders.
• Communicate and uphold Sunshine Village values and guest experience.
• Maintain consistency of brand image across all locations.
• Participate in inventory counts, potentially outside regular operating hours.

Description

The Retail Inventory Assistant Supervisor is a pivotal role within the back of house operation, working closely with the Inventory Supervisor to uphold inventory standards, tracking deliveries, oversee replenishment, and manage receiving procedures. They serve as a crucial link in communication and task delegation within the wider retail team. Additionally, they collaborate with various stakeholders such as the Retail Director, Assistant Director, and Visual Merchandiser to ensure the store's smooth operation and exceptional guest experience.

This position will lead on pulling reports and analysing key information used to support floor operation. They will also own the organization of stockrooms, store replenishment, internal department transfers and warrantee procedure.

Job Functions

• Supervise inventory operations, including task delegation and management of Inventory Assistants.
• Supporting the Inventory supervisor with employee performance; reviews, incentives, coaching/warming forms etc.
• Maintain an in depth knowledge of the Lightspeed/POS programs.
• Generate and analyze reports to support floor operations and understand inventory levels.
• Organize stockrooms, oversee store replenishment, internal department transfers, and warranty procedures.
• Coordinate with the inventory team to ensure efficient stock replenishment.

• Advocate for Banff Sunshine Village's values and guest experience.
• Maintain consistency of brand image across all locations.
• Participate in inventory counts, potentially outside regular operating hours.
• Communicating any required building or fixture maintenance to the Retail Director.
• Managing all Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director, Retail Director, or Inventory Supervisor.

Experience/Requirements

• Minimum one year’s work experience in retail inventory/ warehouse coordination, or an equivalent inventory role.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Ability to multi-task, coordinate ongoing projects, and manage people effectively.
• Works well under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
• Positive attitude and contagious enthusiasm for Sunshine Village, Snowsports and people.
• The role should be prepared to work early morning and late-night hours, as well as weekends and holidays.
• This role will be required to participate in inventory counts, which may take place out of gondola hours.

• Employees must always be of sound mind, exhibit good judgment, and report to work fit for duty.
• This position at times requires the ability to switch between seated office work and active engagement through the facilities. Constant motion, rotation, occasional lifting, pushing, and pulling, and a good level of physical fitness is required.
• Required indoor uniform pieces are provided. Everyone working at the Ski Area must be prepared and wear appropriate footwear, gloves, layers, etc. for the conditions and for their role.
• This position at times works alone, handles cash, and personalinformation.
