Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Ontario is seeking an AZ/DZ Operator – Organics to support the liquids/organics team. You will safely operate equipment to collect liquid and solid wastes, and move material between client sites, including tanker operations where required.

This role requires driving duties, accurate paperwork, adherence to MTO regulations, and strong communication. Willingness to obtain additional licenses and participate in training is expected to ensure compliant operations.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of driver/operator experience preferred.
• High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
• AZ/DZ license with air brake endorsement and CVOR (no demerits).
• Nutrient Management Technician online course through the University of Guelph.
• Solid written communication skills to complete required paperwork.
• Good verbal communication skills to interact with customers.
• Experience operating heavy machinery in mining or agricultural environments is a plus, training available.
• Must exercise good judgment and be proactive.

Responsibilities

• Operate motorized vehicles to move material between client sites.
• Must be familiar and able to operate a tanker.
• Complete pre/post trip inspections, manifests, log books, etc., legibly for compliance.
• Ensure equipment and systems are operated per GFL standards.
• Knowledge of MTO regulations.
• Adhere to Environmental and Health & Safety policies.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Willingness to obtain required licensing.
• Perform other duties assigned.
