Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Niagara Falls, ON is seeking a full-time DZ driver to support our operations. The DZ Driver loads trucks, transports bulk products and waste, and reports to the transportation manager.

Operate vehicles safely, perform pre/post trip inspections, and participate in on-call rotations including weekends and holidays. A valid DZ license with CVOR and at least 1 year of driving experience are required; bulk liquid experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Valid DZ license with current abstracts, CVOR.
• Minimum 1 year driver/operator experience; tanker familiarity.
• Bulk liquid experience is an asset.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of TDGA, Reg. 347/558, WMHIS, MTO regulations.
• Strong written communication for paperwork.
• Strong verbal communication for customer interactions.
• Good judgment; proactive; capable of minor mechanical issues.
• Excellent customer service; strong work ethic and attitude.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Operate vehicles per procedures and legislation safely and efficiently.
• Complete daily documents: pre/post trip inspections, manifests, and logbooks.
• Participate in on-call rotations; available for weekends, after hours, and holidays.
• Maintain company vehicles; minor repairs and interior/exterior cleanliness.
• Represent the Company professionally with customers, suppliers, regulatory bodies, and colleagues.
• Comply with health, safety, environmental, and site policies/procedures.
• Attend required training as per Company requirements.
• Assist in other departments as required (Waste Management, Dust).
• Suppression, secondary duties in Operations and other duties as assigned.
