Overview

Reporting to senior Engineering leadership, the Order Engineering Manager is an experienced Electrical Engineer who leads the Order Engineering team responsible for converting won orders into accurate, manufacturable designs, drawings, and bills of material that meet customer specifications, cost targets, and delivery schedules for Air‑Core Coil products (air core reactors). The role combines hands‑on electrical engineering oversight of order execution with direct leadership of the engineering team, working cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Production, and Quality to ensure orders are engineered right the first time and delivered on time.

Your Tasks
Order Execution & Project Engineering

  • Plan, prioritize, and track the order engineering workload to meet committed delivery dates and manage competing priorities across concurrent orders.
  • Oversee the development of order‑specific electrical designs and calculations for Air‑Core Coil products, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, drawing conventions, and internal design guidelines.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues and bottlenecks during order execution, escalating risks to schedule, cost, or quality as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement of order engineering processes, tools, templates, and automation to improve accuracy, throughput, and cycle time.
Customer Specifications & Technical Review
  • Review customer specifications, drawings, and purchase orders to confirm technical requirements are fully understood and correctly translated into the engineered order.
  • Ensure order designs meet customer, contractual, and applicable code/standard requirements, and that deviations are identified, documented, and communicated.
  • Support the resolution of technical queries and clarifications with customers during order execution.
Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Interface with Sales to ensure a smooth hand-off from quotation to order and to clarify customer requirements and expectations.
  • Coordinate with Operations, Production, and Supply Chain to ensure designs are manufacturable, materials are available, and orders progress smoothly through production.
  • Work with Quality Assurance on root cause analysis and corrective actions for order‑related non‑conformances.
  • Participate in project coordination and production meetings, bringing clarity to deliverables, schedules, and technical decisions.
Team Management & Development
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop the order engineering team, setting clear expectations, providing feedback, and supporting professional growth.
  • Manage team capacity and resource planning, balancing workload to meet order commitments.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management for the team.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable, and quality‑focused team culture
