FYidoctors Calgary - Edgemont is seeking an Optical Associate to join our team and deliver exceptional vision and eyewear experiences in a collaborative, patient-centric environment. Bring your experience to a fast-paced clinic and help people look and see better.

This part-time role offers 20-29 hours per week, with a Monday–Saturday schedule. You’ll enjoy quarterly bonuses at qualifying clinics, comprehensive optical benefits, ongoing training, and a culture that values teamwork and growth.

Qualifications

• Previous optical or retail experience is an asset
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency with technology and MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative, adaptable team player with growth mindset

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome patients in person, by phone, and via email
• Educate patients on eyewear options and help with frame selection
• Interpret optical prescriptions from the optometrist
• Take frame and facial measurements for proper fit
• Coordinate appointments and prepare prescription printouts
• Manage billing and payments for patients and insurers
• Assist with contact lens fittings and orders
• Deliver excellent patient service and experience
• Support clinic operations with additional duties as needed
