FYiDoctors Edmonton - Callingwood clinic is seeking an Optical Associate to bring your skills and join our team. This full-time role supports patient care from greeting to eyewear fitting and billing tasks.

You’ll educate patients on eyewear, interpret prescriptions, take measurements, coordinate appointments, and help with contact lens fittings. We offer growth, training, and a benefits package including optical coverage.

Qualifications

• Previous optical or retail experience is a plus.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with technology and MS Office.

• Deliver exceptional customer service for a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations with additional duties as required.

Our FYiDoctors Edmonton - Callingwood clinic is looking for someone like you to bring your exceptional skills and experience and join us as an Optical Associate to fill an existing vacancy.

This position is a full-time role working 30-40 hours per week. Our clinic is open Monday to Saturday.

What You’ll Do

• Greet and welcome patients to the clinic, engage with patients in person, by phone, and via email.
• Educate patients on eyewear options tailored to their lifestyle, assisting with frame selection to ensure optimal value, quality, aesthetics, and performance.
• Interpret optical prescriptions provided by the optometrist.
• Perform frame and facial measurements, ensuring proper fit and positioning of new eyewear, as well as repairs and adjustments.
• Coordinate appointments, and prepare prescription printouts.
• Manage billing and payments for patients, insurers and other third parties.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and process contact lens orders.
• Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive patient experience.
• Support clinic operations by performing additional duties as required.

What You Bring

• Previous optical experience or retail experience is considered an asset.

• Proficiency with technology and computers, including MS Office Suite.
