Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Vacuum Truck Operator to join the Vacuum Truck Services team in Saskatchewan.

You will perform hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and water hauling with emphasis on safety and teamwork. Responsibilities include operating equipment safely, completing pre-trip inspections, maintaining logs, and delivering exceptional customer service while representing GFL to clients.

Qualifications

• Class 1 or 3 driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Industrial vacuum truck and hydro-excavating experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment in an industrial setting.
• Perform physically demanding tasks.
• Maintain detailed transportation documentation for work performed.
• Represent GFL and provide exceptional service to clients.
• Complete daily equipment pre-trips and logs for safety and schedules.

Job description

The Vacuum Truck Operator will work with the Vacuum Truck Services team to provide exceptional service to our clients. Services provided include (but are not limited to): hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading and hauling of various fluids/ material. The chosen individual will perform this diverse range of activities with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment in an industrial setting
• Perform physically demanding tasks
• Maintain detailed, accurate transportation documentation to accompany work performed
• Professionally represent GFL and provide exception service to all clients
• Complete daily equipment pre-trips and logs required for safety and service schedules
• Participate in GFL’s safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments

Requirements

• Class 1 or 3 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
• Industrial vacuum truck and hydro-excavating experience preferred
• Exceptional customer service skills
• Safety-focused attitude with experience working in an industrial setting
