Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. seeks an Assistant Operator to provide onsite support for the Vacuum Truck Services Division, performing hydro excavation and related activities with a strong emphasis on safety, professionalism and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• General safety knowledge and awareness required.
• H2S, Confined Space Entry and Fall Arrest training/competency required before start.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform high labour intensity tasks in a team environment.
• Positive, self-motivated attitude and safety-minded approach.

Summary The Assistant Operator is relied upon for providing onsite support services for the Vacuum Truck Services Division which performs a very diverse range of activities including: hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and power washing, and assisting with the loading and hauling of various fluids / material. The Assistant Operator will assist with these labour based tasks with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork.
