GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an Assistant Operator to provide onsite support for the Vacuum Truck Services Division.

The role focuses on safety, professionalism and teamwork while assisting with hydro excavation, line flushing, spill cleanup, and related tasks. Responsibilities include operating equipment safely in an industrial setting, performing physically demanding work, and representing GFL to clients.

Qualifications

Job description

The Assistant Operator is relied upon for providing onsite support services for the Vacuum Truck Services Division which performs a very diverse range of activities including: hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and power washing, and assisting with the loading and hauling of various fluids / material. The Assistant Operator will assist with these labour based tasks with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment in an industrial setting
• Perform physically demanding tasks
• Professionally represent GFL and provide exceptional service to all clients
• Participate in GFL’s safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments

Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
