Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking a Vacuum Truck Operator to join our Vacuum Truck Services team.

You will perform hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading/hauling of various fluids while upholding safety and teamwork. Responsibilities include operating vacuum equipment in industrial settings, adhering to policies, completing pre-trips and logs for NSC compliance, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (Class 1 or 2) is required.
• 2 years of industrial vacuum truck and/or hydro-excavating experience, preferably with a combo unit.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Safety-focused attitude with ability to work in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge to perform minor maintenance on units to maintain efficient operation.
• Must be in good health and physically fit.
• Willing to accept after hours calls when necessary; some short-term travel and overnight may be required.
• Safety tickets such as First Aid/CPR, CSTS, TDG and H2S Alive are assets.

Summary: The Vacuum Truck Operator will work with the Vacuum Truck Services team to provide exceptional service to our clients. Services provided include (but are not limited to): hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing, water hauling, and loading and hauling of various fluids/ material. The chosen individual will perform this diverse range of activities with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork.
