Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. is seeking an Assistant Operator to provide onsite support for the Vacuum Truck Services division, handling hydro excavation, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and power washing with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

You will assist with loading and hauling fluids and materials, operating equipment safely in industrial settings, and representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• General safety knowledge and awareness.
• H2S, Confined Space Entry and Fall Arrest training required before start date.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform high-labour tasks in a team.
• Positive, self-motivated attitude.

Summary

The Assistant Operator is relied upon for providing onsite support services for the Vacuum Truck Services Division which performs a very diverse range of activities including: hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, and power washing, and assisting with the loading and hauling of various fluids / material. The Assistant Operator will assist with these labour based tasks with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate equipment in an industrial setting
• Perform physically demanding tasks
• Professionally represent GFL and provide exceptional service to all clients
• Participate in GFL's safety programs including: safety meetings, last minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments
