These steel rolls, weighing up to 50 tons, play a critical role in the papermaking process and require exceptional precision and craftsmanship.
Summary:
Under the general direction of the Rubber Supervisor, the incumbent performs a variety of production operations, including handling compounded rubber, mixing rubber compounds, removing compounded rubber from the mill, cutting compounded rubber, applying cement, setting up roll supports, protecting journals, setting up the steam generator, configuring computer programs, and loading and unloading the pressure vessel.
