Job summary

Orica in Hollinger, ON is hiring an Operator MMU for a 7x7 rotation (day and night shifts). The role focuses on production delivery of Bulk Emulsion, safety compliance, and proactive teamwork to coordinate machine operation and product handling on site.

Daily duties include inspections, loading explosives, pre/post trip checks, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Requires a high school diploma and a valid Z license; DZ is a plus.

• Valid Z License required (DZ license an asset).

Responsibilities

• Operate MMU and ensure on-time production and deliveries.
• Perform preventative maintenance and safety checks.
• Load explosives and transport to sites daily.

• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot issues.

About the role - 40504 - Operator - MMU (Hollinger, ON)

Schedule: 7 X 7 rotation (day and night shifts)

The Operator MMU (Mobile Mixing Unit) has day-to-day responsibilities for the production delivery of Bulk Emulsion. Ensures production/deliveries occurs on a timely basis, following all safety procedures and taking a pro‑active teamwork approach focused on coordinating assigned machine operation and product handling functions.

What you will be doing

• Preventative maintenance, greasing schedule including focus parts and process to clean/change all filters.
• Demonstrated ability on lock out/tag out, safety systems and controls
• Ability to maneuver on the road and on customer property in a safe manner.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the inside of Orica vehicles at all times.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to quickly determine potential issues and problem solve accordingly.
• Requires thorough and meticulous completion of regulatory paperwork
• Reliable and dependable

Daily duties include:

• Pre‑trip and Post‑trip inspection of vehicles, checking and filling fluid levels
• Loading explosives into company trucks and driving to different sites daily
• Assisting in laying out and loading of explosives
• Long days out in all types of weather, with big rewards at the end of the day

What you will bring

Compensation

• $42.13 CAD per hour

If you have direct industry experience, your pay rate may be reviewed.
Compensation is determined based on experience, skills, qualifications, internal equity, and market considerations.
