  • Coordinate spill response, hazard mitigation, emergency cleaning activities, and service calls.
  • Ensure washrooms, waste stations, public areas, and guest spaces remain clean and presentable throughout events.
  • Support rapid event turnovers, venue conversions, floor resets, and post‑event recovery.
  • Train, coach, and mentor frontline employees and temporary event staff.
  • Support onboarding and provide task‑specific training to ensure employees understand cleaning and safety expectations.
  • Monitor attendance, productivity, conduct, and completion of assigned work.
  • Conduct routine inspections using established checklists and audit tools.
  • Identify deficiencies, assign corrective actions, and verify completion.
  • Ensure public, operational, and support areas meet required event‑ready standards.
  • Ensure the proper use, cleaning, storage, and care of equipment, carts, tools, and supplies.
  • Monitor chemical and consumable inventory and coordinate replenishment as required.
  • Ensure cleaning products are properly labelled, stored, and handled in accordance with WHMIS requirements.
  • Oversee waste collection, sorting, recycling, composting, and waste handling procedures.
  • Promote waste diversion and sustainable cleaning practices.
  • Complete shift reports, inspections, attendance records, incident documentation, and operational reports.
  • Participate in event briefings, operations meetings, and post‑event debriefs.
  • Assist with scheduling adjustments and real‑time workforce redeployment.
  • Enforce company, client, venue, and health and safety requirements.
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions and report incidents, hazards, and near misses.
  • Support emergency response procedures and maintain safe working conditions during event transitions.
