Job summary

Grand & Toy in Winnipeg is seeking a hands-on Operations Leader to take charge of the Winnipeg Customer Fulfillment Centre. You will shape culture, elevate performance, and own the day-to-day operation with accountability for safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

The role emphasizes leading on the warehouse floor, building strong teams, and collaborating with Sales and internal teams to resolve issues and deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in warehouse, logistics, distribution, transportation, or fulfillment.
• Track record of influencing team culture, accountability, or operational performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Solutions-focused approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently in a standalone operation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the building — Own the day-to-day operation and create a safe, productive, and positive environment.
• Build accountability — Set clear expectations, coach your team, address challenges, and recognize great performance.
• Drive results — Monitor operational performance and identify opportunities to improve productivity, service, and efficiency.
• Be hands‑on — Spend the majority of your day on the warehouse floor, staying connected to your people and the operation.
• Own the details — From inventory and staffing to building maintenance, security, payroll, and operational costs, you'll take ownership of what happens on site.
• Partner for success — Work closely with Sales and internal teams to resolve issues and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

Nice To Haves

• Post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or a related field
• Experience with WMS, RF scanners, Kronos, Roadnet, or similar operational systems
