Job description

Summary: The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the daily supervision of the warehouse floor, assigning work schedules, and overseeing the time management of warehouse shipments.

Compensation: This salaried, exempt position offers an annual salary ranging from [insert range], depending on experience, education, and bonuses.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure proper staffing for all shift functions to handle varying work volumes, managing order flow for approximately 10-20 employees in a 100,000 sq ft facility.
  2. Maintain and oversee the facility's quality processes.
  3. Guarantee on-time shipping performance; collaborate with team leads to meet receipt and shipment standards.
  4. Supervise realignment activities to optimize facility operations.
  5. Manage operational activities supporting DC layout and continuous improvement initiatives.
  6. Provide direct supervision to shift supervisors, holding them accountable for their teams' performance.
  7. Lead, train, and supervise 25-50 team members.
  8. Focus on developing leadership capabilities and fostering professional growth within the team.
  9. Oversee facility and equipment maintenance and supplies.
  10. Maintain a safe working environment and ensure safety compliance.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma required.
  • 1-2 years of supervisory experience.
  • Forklift experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency with tablets (e.g., iPad).
  • Basic to intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both oral and written.
  • High level of customer service orientation.
  • Good organizational skills.

Physical Demands:

  • Regular use of hands for handling objects; reaching; talking and hearing.
  • Frequent sitting; occasional standing and walking.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and move up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision.
