Operations Supervisor - (251699)

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide overall leadership for the Customer Service Center (CSC), overseeing student transportation, driver training, and vehicle maintenance to meet business goals.
  2. Lead staff by promoting safe, efficient, and effective operations.
  3. Monitor and ensure staff training requirements are met.
  4. Set performance expectations, coach, and counsel employees; handle disciplinary actions as needed.
  5. Ensure compliance with company policies and escalate violations appropriately.
  6. Oversee adherence to state and district regulations.
  7. Represent the company professionally in meetings with school district representatives.
  8. Prepare and submit customer-related reports timely.
  9. Manage customer and employee complaints and review survey data.
  10. Maintain knowledge of CSC contracts and operational requirements.
  11. Audit and manage employee timesheets and hours to meet budget goals.
  12. Review daily exception reports.
  13. Authorize expenditures within guidelines.
  14. Optimize vehicle utilization and routing.
  15. Uphold high ethical standards and integrity, reporting suspicious behavior.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience, with at least 3 years in ground transportation (waived with 1-year supervisory experience); college education can substitute for up to 2 years of experience.
  • Supervisory experience, preferably supervising/training drivers.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and transportation software.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, organizational, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent multitasking and time management skills.
  • Valid Commercial Driver’s License with endorsements.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus.
