Job summary

GardaWorld Cash Services in Moncton, NB is seeking an Operations Supervisor to plan, organize and manage unionized staff in everyday operations, ensuring compliance with policies, safety rules and government regulations. You will collaborate with other supervisors, monitor budgets, conduct safety audits, and support investigations.

A minimum of 2 years’ experience in personnel management in a unionized environment and proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook are required; a Class 5 license and

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personnel management in a unionized environment.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Class 5 Driver's License with 6 or less demerits.
  • Possession of a valid PAL (Firearms License)
  • Leadership, negotiation and judgment skills.
  • Strong focus on teamwork and partnership.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Critical thinking and active listening evolved.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and manage the work of unionized employees.
  • Ensure staff comply with policies, procedures, safety rules and regulations.
  • Act as a resource for all employees in the assigned territory.
  • Collaborate with other supervisors to implement policies and objectives.
  • Promote safe work practices; conduct safety audits and meetings.
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure budgets are followed.
  • Investigate and resolve customer or shipper complaints.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve safety procedures.
  • Fill-in on Armored/ATM routes when needed.
  • Participate in disciplinary processes or grievance settlements.
  • Handle other related tasks.

What you will be doing:

  • Plan, organize and manage the work of unionized employees;
  • Ensure that staff members comply with policies, administrative procedures, safety rules, collective agreements and government regulations;
  • Act as a resource person for all employees in the assigned territory;
  • Collaborate with other supervisors and staff to establish and implement policies, procedures and objectives;
  • Promote safe work practices, by conducting safety audits, participating in company safety meetings, and meeting one-on-one with staff members;
  • Monitor expenditures to ensure compliance with approved budgets;
  • Conduct investigations to verify and resolve customer or shipper complaints;
  • Collaborate with internal or external stakeholders to determine the causes of accidents that occur during transport and improve safety procedures;
  • Fill-in on Armored and/or ATM routes when needed
  • Participate in the disciplinary process or the settlement of grievances;
  • All other related tasks.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in personnel management in a unionized environment;
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook;
  • Valid Class 5 Drivers License with 6 or less demerits
  • Possession of a valid Non-Restricted and Restricted Firearms License (PAL: Possession & Acquisitions License)
  • Very good leadership, negotiation, and judgment skills;
  • Strong focus on teamwork and partnership;
  • Sense of urgency, exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
  • Critical thinking and active listening developed.
