Summary

The Operations Specialist is a store-based role focused on delivering exceptional client service while supporting point-of-sale, cash management, order fulfillment and logistics. The role balances customer-facing support at the service desk with back-of-house responsibilities including picking, packing, and inventory activities. The Specialist helps maintain POS accuracy, loss prevention standards and operational procedures to support store performance.

Responsibilities

• Provide exemplary customer service at the service desk and act as a point of contact for customer issues, escalating when necessary.
• Process transactions accurately, manage daily cash handling, open/close registers and prepare deposits.
• Support omni order fulfillment including picking, packing, BOPIS operations and meeting fulfillment targets.
• Monitor POS and transaction audits, identify discrepancies and recommend training or process improvements.
• Assist with logistics tasks such as receiving, markdowns, reticketing, merchandising support and seasonal inventory counts.
• Lead by example on loss prevention and health and safety best practices and maintain service desk standards.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a client-facing retail service desk or customer service role.
• Strong communication skills, service orientation and ability to train and coach team members.
• Experience with POS systems, cash handling and transaction accuracy.
• Ability to multitask, manage queues of customers calmly and support both floor and logistics needs.
• Familiarity with shipping, receiving, order fulfillment and inventory processes preferred; comfort using retail technology solutions.
