Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
• Progressive experience performing professional level operational and plant management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents; respond to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
• Ability to write documents with original or innovative style; make persuasive presentations to top management and customer.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
• Ability to interpret complex technical instructions and handle abstract and concrete variables.
• Proficient PC skills including email, record keeping, databases, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

• Manage the daily activities of a logistics operation to maximize scheduling and delivery of commodities to the customer.
• Interface with customer to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximization of schedule adherence; provides input on local conditions, identifies needs and receives direction on real-time staffing increases or decreases.
• Enact contingency plans as needed; troubleshoot issues and participate in post-mortem analysis for process improvements.
• Review ongoing performance results toward targets and take corrective measures as needed.
• Provide effective leadership to Warehouse Managers and/or team, upholding company standards and acting as a role model.
• Other duties as assigned.
