Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Production or Operations Manager to lead and continuously improve manufacturing operations at a specialist facility in Surrey, with emphasis on health and safety and ownership of external audits including BRC.

You will own H&S standards, manage the SOP framework, drive improvements, oversee maintenance, and ensure HACCP/GMP/BRCGS compliance while collaborating with the leadership team to elevate performance across the site.

Our client is looking for an experienced Production or Operations Manager to lead and continuously improve manufacturing operations at a specialist production facility. This role focuses on health and safety, operational standards and has ownership for the sites external audits including BRC.

What You'll Do
  • Own Health & Safety, through maintaining and developing H&S standards across the site ensuring risks are identified, controlled and effectively managed.
  • Ownership of all external audits - including BRC and customer
  • Manage SOPs and operational standards: Own the site SOP framework, including creating, reviewing and updating procedures to ensure safe, consistent and effective ways of working.
  • Improve how we operate using your manufacturing experience to identify opportunities to improve safety, reliability, efficiency and ways of working.
  • Investigate recurring operational issues, identify root causes and implement practical, lasting solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lead agreed improvement projects across Operations and work with teams to implement and sustain improvements.
  • Oversee planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and equipment reliability, managing the operations coordinator and external contractors to ensure maintenance is planned, completed effectively and recurring issues are addressed.
  • Support change and development with practical manufacturing expertise when introducing new equipment, products, processes or ways of working.
  • Maintain operational and food safety standards and manage our HACCP, GMP and BRCGS compliance to ensure operational processes and controls remain effective and audit-ready.
  • Work across Operations and partner with the management team to improve standards, reliability and performance, providing manufacturing support where needed.
Profile

A successful Operations Manager should have:

  • Experience in managing operations within the FMCG industry - ideally within a food manufacturing site
  • Proven experience in leading BRC and customer audits
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of operational best practices and health & safety standards.
  • Ability to analyse data and implement improvements effectively.Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
Job Offer
  • Salary ranging from £50,000 - £50,000
