Job Title: Operations Manager

Hotel Equities, a multi-award-winning hotel development and hospitality management company, is seeking a remarkable Operations Manager for the Fairfield Edmonton International Airport, Edmonton, AB.

Job Purpose:

Plan and manage the hotel's functions (Front Office, Housekeeping, Laundry, F&B) to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while meeting or exceeding financial goals. Responsible for short and long-term planning and daily operations, developing budgets, marketing plans, and objectives, and managing within approved plans. Provide warm, knowledgeable service and helpful guidance to reassure guests they made the right choice to stay with us.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage Human Resources to attract, retain, and motivate employees; hire, train, develop, coach, conduct performance reviews, resolve issues, communicate openly, discipline, and terminate as appropriate.
  2. Develop and manage the group's annual budget, business/marketing plans, forecasts, and objectives to meet or exceed expectations.
  3. Implement company programs (franchise and local), develop local programs and procedures, and ensure compliance with SOPs, safety regulations, and all legal requirements to deliver quality service and customer satisfaction.
  4. Resolve customer complaints promptly to maintain high satisfaction levels.
  5. Follow emergency procedures and train staff to ensure safety for guests, staff, and assets.
  6. Promote accident prevention programs to minimize liabilities and expenses.
  7. Oversee maintenance and sanitation of the hotel to protect assets and ensure quality service.
  8. Act as the General Manager in their absence.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with Marriott, Hilton, IHG, Wyndham, or Hyatt standards.
  • Advanced knowledge of hospitality and business management.
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and communication skills.
  • Excellent literacy and verbal skills for reports and guest interactions.
  • Ability to visually inspect the hotel and walk through all areas.
