Job description

We are looking for a highly-skilled Operations Manager to serve as the backbone of the SeekersGuidance Canada Centre. In this pivotal role, you will focus on ensuring the highest levels of operational excellence, safety, and resource efficiency that keep the Centre running smoothly every day. In this role, you bridge the gap between local execution and Global strategy. With operational excellence at the core, the Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that the Centre’s facilities, staffing, and systems all operate consistently, sustainably, and professionally.

What You’ll Do:
1. Lead Operational Strategy
  • Implement and execute the strategic objectives for the Canada Centre in alignment with Global Headquarters
  • Design and implement efficient workflows that reduce friction for staff, programs, and classes
  • Manage the facility’s long-term needs, ensuring the physical space matches our standards of excellence
2. Steward Financial Health
  • Own the budget: oversee all budget planning, expense tracking, and financial reporting to ensure every dollar is used effectively
  • Prepare clear, data-driven financial and operational reports for senior leadership
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on quality or service
3. Ensure Compliance & Quality
  • As the guardian of Policy & Procedure, you ensure the Centre remains compliant with all mandated standards and external legal regulations
  • Oversee risk management, safety protocols, and HR administration for the local team
4. Connect & Coordinate
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Canada Centre and the broader Global departments (Academy, Outreach, Development)
  • Facilitate clear communication channels so that local activities align with global priorities
Key Performance Indicators (How You Win)
  • Budget Accuracy: Maintain actual operational spend within +/- 5% of the approved budget
  • Reporting Compliance: 100% on-time submission of weekly/monthly financial and operational reports
  • Process Improvements: Successfully implement at least two major operational efficiency upgrades each quarter
  • Operational Uptime: Zero critical disruptions to centre operations due to preventable issues
Who You Are
  • A Seasoned Operator: You have 3–5 years of experience in operations management, preferably within a nonprofit, educational, or religious environment
  • Financially Literate: You are comfortable with spreadsheets, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Culturally Fluent: You understand the nuances of religious community spaces. Fluency in both English and Arabic is a strong preference
  • Structured & Proactive: You don’t wait for fires to start—you build systems that prevent them, and when urgent situations arise, you keep your cool
  • A Communicator: Your written and verbal communication skills do not rattle under pressure: reports and emails are professional and clear
