Job description

Program Manager – SeekersGuidance Canada Centre

We are looking for an operational leader to serve as the heartbeat of the SeekersGuidance Canada Centre. As the Programs Manager, you will bring our educational vision to life on the ground. You won’t just “manage logistics”—you will curate the environment where knowledge spreads, and community thrives. You will own the execution of our classes, seminars, and social events, ensuring that every scholar, student, and volunteer walks into a seamless, professional, and spiritually uplifting experience.

Location: Greater Toronto Area
Employment type: Full-Time
Experience: 3+ Years

What You’ll Do:
  • 1. Bring Programs to Life
    • Take full ownership of the event calendar (Friday Circles, Weekend classes, Seminars).
    • Coordinate directly with resident and visiting scholars to ensure they have what they need to teach effectively.
    • Manage the “stage”: oversee room setups, AV requirements, and the on‑site flow to ensure events start and end on time, every time.
  • 2. Run a Tight Ship (Operations)
    • Manage the day‑to‑day pulse of the Centre, ensuring classrooms and event spaces are clean, safe, and ready for use.
    • Enforce operational policies and safety standards without compromising the welcoming atmosphere.
    • Lead the recruitment and scheduling of part‑time staff and volunteers.
  • 3. Build & Engage Community
    • Act as the face of the Centre during events, gathering real‑time feedback from attendees.
    • Design and execute outreach initiatives (Open Houses, Education Fairs) to bring new faces into the centre.
    • Strengthen relationships with local mosques and community partners to expand our impact.
  • 4. Track, Report & Optimize
    • Use Basecamp and Google Workspace to keep the Global Operations team in the loop with concise weekly reports.
    • Monitor facility needs and coordinate maintenance or renovation projects.
    • Support the Development team by managing logistics for fundraising dinners and donor gatherings.
Key Performance Indicators (How You Win):
  • Program Execution: 95%+ of events start on time with zero critical logistical failures.
  • Attendance Growth: Year‑over‑year increase in on‑ground attendance for core programs.
  • Satisfaction: Consistently high attendee feedback scores regarding venue and organization.
  • Operational Efficiency: Maintain facility and program budgets within the approved scope.
Who You Are:
  • Experienced: 3–5 years of experience in operations, event management, or program leadership (Nonprofit experience is a major plus).
  • A Natural Leader: You can direct a team of volunteers and staff with kindness and authority.
  • Tech‑Savvy: You are comfortable using project management tools (like Basecamp) and Google Workspace.
  • Mission‑Driven: You are deeply committed to the spread of authentic Islamic knowledge and service to the community.
  • Agile: You can handle a quiet Tuesday afternoon and a packed Friday evening with equal composure.
