Canadian Forest Products Ltd. is seeking an Operations Recruitment Advisor to lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly production roles across our Alberta operations, reporting to the Regional HR Manager.

Based at our Spruceland site in Acheson, AB, you will build partnerships with Hiring Managers, HR, and the Talent Acquisition team to attract top candidates. You\'ll design proactive sourcing strategies, use ATS and recruitment tech, conduct screens and interviews, and deliver data-driven hiring

Qualifications

• 3+ years of progressive talent acquisition or recruitment experience in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven success recruiting hard-to-fill roles and developing creative sourcing strategies.
• Experience partnering with Hiring Managers and HR as a trusted recruitment advisor.
• Strong knowledge of applicant tracking systems, sourcing platforms, and recruitment technology.

Responsibilities

• Lead full-cycle recruitment for hourly production positions, from intake and sourcing through selection and offer.
• Partner with Hiring Managers and HR to understand hiring needs and develop practical recruitment strategies.
• Build proactive talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
• Get creative with sourcing, using recruitment technology, AI-enabled tools, and new approaches to reach qualified candidates.
• Conduct candidate screens, interviews, assessments, references, and background checks.
• Present qualified candidates and provide thoughtful, business-focused hiring recommendations.
• Advise leaders on candidate availability, labour market conditions, sourcing strategies, and recruitment best practices.
• Balance candidate quality, speed, cost, and operational priorities when developing recruitment solutions.
• Support job fairs, recruitment campaigns, employer branding, and other talent attraction initiatives.
• Use recruitment data and insights to identify opportunities and continuously improve how we hire.
• Contribute to recruitment projects, process improvements, and best-practice sharing across the Talent Acquisition team.
• Ensure recruitment activities align with employment legislation, company policies, and inclusive hiring practices.
