Job summary

ABB’s Discovery Program in Canada offers a two-year rotational development path for recent graduates. As an Operations Discovery Trainee, you will lead small projects, manage schedules, and process customer quotations and orders while coordinating with sales, operations, and customers.

The hybrid work model supports cross-functional exposure across delivery and project execution in Canada, with mentorship from PMO and production teams to build a strong foundation in project management and order

Qualifications

• Recent graduate (2025-2027) with bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical engineering or a related engineering/technical field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate complex information into clear messages.
• Analytical mindset with ability to work with data and market insights.
• Enthusiasm for learning and adaptability to work across different teams and product lines.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Lead the execution of small projects and coordinate activities across functions to achieve objectives.
• Define and apply basic project scheduling techniques to manage schedule risks.
• Prepare accurate customer quotations and process orders efficiently.
• Ensure a seamless information flow between sales, operations, and customers.
• Monitor progress, schedules, resources, and project financials with PMO guidance.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Support contract close-out and customer acceptance in line with requirements.
• Enter and manage customer purchase orders in ERP/CRM systems.
• Coordinate with production, logistics, and supply chain to ensure on-time fulfillment.
• Monitor order progress and communicate updates to customers.
• Issue order confirmations, shipping documents, and invoices as required.
