Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW
Responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks relating to the operations of the Service Centre.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Provide excellent customer service and problem resolution in accordance with policies and processes for customers
  2. Verify and process Customs documents
  3. Image documents in a timely manner and create ACE trips for Southbound drivers, work with brokers and customs on all northbound shipments that have not cleared customs
  4. Data entry of (e.g., freight bill entry)
  5. Perform Driver Check In, audit all Bills of Lading and delivery receipts for compliance
  6. Review Contractor Settlement Sheets and bill all accessorial service charges back to customer
  7. Review all driver collect shipments
  8. Schedule pick-ups, delivery appointments (e.g., via phone, email and/or customer portal)
  9. Support operations team/colleagues as needed
  10. Assist with mentoring of new hires (e.g., Operations Associates)
  11. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures
  12. Perform other duties as required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED

  1. High School Diploma or GED equivalent, required
  2. One (1) year of work experience in administration, customer service or related field
  3. Experience in the transportation or LTL industry
  4. Strong time-management and organizational skills, including strong attention to detail
  5. Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  6. Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Sharepoint and Outlook)
  7. Ability/willingness to learn new applications, software, systems, and equipment as required
  8. Ability to manage competing and changing priorities
  9. Strong verbal, reading and written communication skills
  10. Bilingual (English/French) preferred; required in Quebec

WORKING CONDITIONS
Hours may vary due to operational need
Office located in dock environment; exposure to varied weather conditions, exhaust, fumes, dust, noise

Preferred Qualifications: Monday-Friday, 16:00-00:30
