Job summary

Covenant Health invites you to join the Grey Nuns OR as a Service Attendant. You will transport, transfer, and position patients, including those with high BMI, assist with prepping, and set up beds and equipment for booked cases.

You will maintain a clean OR environment, stock supplies, and follow infection control policies; the role is covered by CUPE 41, with 7.75-hour shifts and a regular full-time schedule in Edmonton, starting mid-October 2026.

Qualifications

• Completion of Grade 10 required.
• Completion of Grade 12 required.
• Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
• Experience providing patient care in a hospital setting.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and push/pull greater than 44 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Transport, transfer, and position patients including patients with high BMI.
• Bed set up to match booked cases and room set up with pertinent equipment.
• Stocking, restocking, cleaning of OR theatres and outside areas; garbage removal.
• Awareness and compliance with Covenant Health policies and isolation procedures.
