Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in operation, maintenance or building upkeep.
• Training in building mechanics or related field is a plus.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems.
• Certification or relevant experience in fixed machinery is an asset.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and troubleshoot effectively.
• Autonomy, resourcefulness and sound judgment.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular rounds to inspect building systems and equipment.
• Monitor and operate mechanical building systems including HVAC.
• Ensure control and management systems operate correctly.
• Carry out preventive maintenance and some corrective repairs.
• Diagnose issues and perform minor repairs as required.
• Monitor equipment parameters and respond to alarms.
• Coordinate or assist vendors and contractors on site.
