Qualifications

• Experience in building operations, maintenance or facilities management.
• Formation in building mechanics or related field is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems.
• Certification or experience in fixed machinery mechanics is a plus.
• Ability to diagnose technical problems and intervene effectively.
• Autonomy, resourcefulness and sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular building and equipment rounds.
• Monitor and operate mechanical building systems (HVAC).
• Ensure monitoring and control systems for the building.
• Perform checks and adjustments for proper equipment operation.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and some corrective repairs.
• Diagnose technical problems and perform minor repairs.
• Monitor equipment parameters (temperatures, pressures, levels, alarms).
• Respond to alarms and emergencies affecting installations.
• Carry out minor plumbing, electrical, mechanical and carpentry work.
• Inspect and intervene to prevent breakdowns and service interruptions.
• Follow work orders and report repair needs or specialized services.
• Coordinate or accompany vendors and contractors on-site.
• Follow health and safety procedures and applicable standards.
