Job summary

JLL in Burlington, ON is seeking a Building Services Technician to maintain facility systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanicals. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, address service requests, read blueprints, and coordinate with vendors to ensure safety and reliability on-site.

Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma or trade certification with 2–3 years in facilities management, and are available for afternoon/evening shifts Tuesday to Saturday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade certification preferred.
• 2–3 years in building maintenance or facilities management.
• Knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Afternoon–evening shifts, Tue–Sat.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems.
• Respond to service requests and troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
• Conduct facility walkthroughs to identify maintenance needs.
• Maintain records of work performed (logs, reports).
• Coordinate with vendors/contractors for repairs and servicing.
• Ensure safety protocols and building codes compliance.
• Support emergency procedures and on-call rotations as needed.
