Job summary

QuadReal Property Group in Canada seeks a Maintenance Operator to support the Building Operations Team. The role ensures that complex building systems are maintained and operated at peak performance with minimal disruptions.

You will monitor HVAC, BAS, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety systems; perform preventive maintenance; generate detailed reports; maintain logs; and respond to emergencies, while upholding safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• BES 1 and 2 or equivalent certification.
• Thorough knowledge of building systems and sequences of operation (lighting, BAS, life safety, HVAC, mechanical systems).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprint drawings and close-out documents is an asset.
• Commitment to safety and OHS training with required PPE.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, repair, and maintain all building systems equipment and distribution networks.
• Troubleshoot control systems (lighting, BAS, life safety, environmental, energy).
• Identify malfunctions and report with detailed issue reports to supervisor.
• Maintain daily logs and perform preventive maintenance tasks.
• Lead repairs for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
• Assist in training and guiding maintenance staff.
• Respond to service requests and emergencies promptly.
