Job summary

Centerra Gold Inc. is seeking a Technician, Mine Drilling for Mount Milligan Mine in Fort St. James, BC. The role operates on a 14 days on/14 days off rotation with 12-hour daily shifts, and camp accommodations are provided.

Reporting to the Mine Operations Supervisor, you will operate mobile drilling machines safely, perform inspections, and maintain equipment. A BC Driver's license and 2+ years of heavy equipment experience are required; safety is paramount.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience running heavy equipment.
• Ability to work in a safety-sensitive environment.
• Valid BC driver's license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Open pit mining experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the operational integrity of the Mining department to meet safety, environmental, quality, cost and production targets.
• Perform pre-shift and post-shift safety inspections and complete daily equipment reports.
• Report unsafe mechanical conditions to a supervisor.
• Maintain good housekeeping on equipment.
• Follow established traffic patterns to avoid road hazards.
