Job summary

Centerra Gold’s Mount Milligan Mine is seeking a Metallurgist to provide technical support and leadership to the mill operations team, focusing on optimizing plant performance and upholding safety standards. The role operates on a 14 days on / 14 days off rotation with a 12-hour schedule and camp accommodations, offering a competitive compensation package and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary education in Mineral Processing, Metallurgical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or similar technical fields; EGBC registration or eligible to register.
• 2–6 years of experience in mineral processing, preferably with comminution and copper/gold flotation experience.
• Strong statistical analysis, presentation, and technical report writing skills.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Demonstrated ability to work safely and adhere to safety policies.
• Good communication, organizational and team-building skills.
• Proven ability to analyze problems and develop timely, cost-effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety and adherence to corporate and site policies; participate in safety meetings.
• Monitor and report on concentrator performance.
• Identify variability sources and recommend improvements for plant stability and efficiency.
• Conduct investigations, test work and technical projects.
• Exceed plant targets and communicate recommendations to Mill Operations team after review from Senior Metallurgist.
• Prepare reports and communicate results to Mill Operations team.
