Job summary

Centerra Gold invites a Mine Blast Technician to join Mount Milligan Mine operations. The role operates on a 7 days on/7 days off, 12-hour shifts, with camp accommodations.

You will execute blasting plans, ensure safety, and coordinate with operations and engineering to meet production goals while maintaining strict compliance. Applicants should have a BC Blasting Ticket, a Class 5 license, and 3–5 years of open-pit blasting experience, including nonelectric and electronic initiation systems,

Qualifications

• BC blasting ticket is required.
• Class 5 driver's license is required.
• 3–5 years blasting experience in open pit mining.
• Experience with nonelectric and electronic initiation systems.
• Familiarity with presplit, trim, buffer blasting techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform blasting activities in compliance with laws, designs, and standards.
• Load blast holes per approved designs.
• Install primers, boosters, detonators, and stemming materials safely.
• Conduct tie-ins of blasting patterns using initiation systems.
• Record blast details and deviations for continuous improvement.
