Job summary

Centerra Gold Inc. in Fort St. James, BC, seeks a Technician, Mine Blast for Mount Milligan Mine on a 7x7, 12-hour shift with camp accommodations. You will safely execute blasting activities, load holes, install initiation systems, and adhere to MHSA regulations and site procedures.

The role requires BC Blasting Ticket, 3–5 years of blasting experience in open pit, and strong safety focus. Camp lifestyle with benefits and career growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• Blasting experience in open pit mining (3–5 years) required.
• BC Blasting Ticket is required.
• Strong safety mindset and adherence to procedures.
• Ability to read field layouts and pit plans.

Responsibilities

• Perform blasting activities in full compliance with Mine Health and Safety legislation, regulations and company standards.
• Load blast holes per approved designs.
• Install primers, boosters, detonators and stemming materials safely.
• Conduct tie-ins of blasting patterns using initiating systems.
• Verify hole conditions, explosive quantities and pattern readiness.
