Job summary

Long View in Vancouver is seeking an experienced Deskside Consultant to provide on-site end-user IT support for clients in a rapidly changing environment. You will deploy laptops, configure Windows 11 with Intune Autopilot, and deliver Tier 1 support while maintaining security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of IT support experience, including a Microsoft environment in a desktop support role.
• Knowledge of server operations, infrastructure, web interfaces, remote access tools.
• Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux/Mac OS environments.
• Experience with Office 365, Remote support, PC/printer hardware, VPN, Citrix and Active Directory.
• Ability to identify issues, escalate appropriately and work to resolve them.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy and support laptops and peripherals for new and existing users, following team standards.
• Provision Windows 11 devices using Intune Autopilot (no imaging); provide Tier 1 end-user support.
• Deliver clear, professional communication with customers, stakeholders, and service providers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deskside issues, escalating and tracking incidents as needed.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members, both on-site and remote.
• Ensure compliance with client IT security, technology standards, and service practices.
• Follow and model Health, Safety, Security, and Environmental policies.
• Support office technology such as printers, AV, video conferencing, and meeting room equipment.
• Participate in regional IT team collaboration to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Contribute to continuous improvement in end-user support, service quality, and customer satisfaction.
