Job summary

WoodGreen Community Services is seeking a Housing Services Coordinator to lead day-to-day property management and tenant relations within subsidized housing sites in Toronto. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Services, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in social services.
• Understanding of the Residential Tenancies Act, Housing Services Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
• Property management experience including lease administration, rent collection, and unit turnover management.
• Experience with group facilitation and an understanding of group dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Administrate RGI for all tenants, including annual income reviews and required notifications and/or RGI calculations.
• Facilitate intake management; background checks, generate leases, and orientation.
• Collect rent, establish payment schedules to manage any arrears, and follow up LTB Notices.
• Work with building services to ensure units/building facilities are maintained in good repair.
• Educate tenants about basic and preventative maintenance issues, and their responsibilities in maintaining their apartment as per signed tenancy/occupancy agreement.
• Conduct assessments and assist tenants in identifying any issues, problem areas, and relevant needs within their housing community and facilitate problem resolution to address issues.
