Job summary

WoodGreen is seeking a Cleaner for the Housing & Homelessness Services - Building Services team at 800 Vaughan Road, Toronto, ON. The role is full-time, onsite, 35 hours/week (Mon-Fri 9am-5pm).

You will perform routine janitorial tasks, assist with light maintenance, and support programs to keep spaces safe and welcoming for residents and staff. Requirements include a High School Diploma and prior cleaning experience in commercial or residential settings, plus strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning experience in commercial or residential settings.

Responsibilities

• Keep spaces spotless and safe through routine and emergency cleaning.
• Manage waste and coordinate city/contractor pick-up.
• Operate floor buffers and garden tractors for maintenance.
• Clean public areas and offices, vacuum and mop.
• Handle supplies and heavy lifting safely.
• Respond quickly to emergencies to protect residents and staff.
• Set up meeting rooms and assist other departments.
• Maintain tools and equipment for reliable operation.
• Safeguard property by carrying keys and a designated phone.
• Follow safety standards and policies.
