Job summary

Johnson Controls in Canada is hiring for an on-site technician responsible for system commissioning, troubleshooting HVAC systems, and responding to warranty calls. You will load controller software, perform diagnostics, calibrate equipment, and complete required documentation.

A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required, with a comprehensive benefits package and company vehicle provided.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated technical aptitude.
• Ability to use hand tools (screwdrivers, wrenches, wire strippers).
• Strong computer skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and listening skills.
• Willing to travel region in Kingston/Belleville.
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record.
• Two years experience in installing electronic and/or mechanical systems.
• Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs system commissioning using Johnson Controls tools.
• Troubleshoots basic HVAC mechanical/electrical/control issues.
• Responds to basic warranty calls.
• Loads system-level controller software and performs diagnostics.
• Keeps stakeholders informed of progress and issues.
• Calibrates systems with basic electronic test equipment.
• Completes on-site documentation and as-built records.
• Ensures safety during all activities.
