Johnson Controls in Canada seeks an HVAC commissioning technician to perform system commissioning, troubleshoot basic HVAC issues, and respond to warranty calls. The role involves loading controller software, diagnostics, and maintaining job documentation on-site.

The candidate should have a two-year degree in electronics or related fields or 3–5 years of HVAC servicing experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to program HVAC software after training.

Formación

• Two-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field or at least three to five years of industry experience or experience in servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.
• Generally required knowledge includes HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
• Effective interpersonal skills to accurately represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner.
• Ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical people.Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.
• PC experience required
• The ability to program HVAC related software after completing the required training

Responsabilidades

• Performs assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.
• Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.
• Responds to basic warranty calls.
• Loads system-level controller software.
• Performs more sophisticated commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices and finishes the required commissioning documentation.
• Keeps management and JCI contractor or customer advised of job progress and issues.
• Calibrates systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.
• Completes administrative tasks including time sheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.
• Documents changes and provides information for as built documentation.
• Communicates with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.
• Follows all safety standards and attends required safety training.

Educación

Two-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field

Three to five years of industry experience or experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical HVAC systems

Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls to customers

Leadership to support mechanics on non-complex building automation equipment

PC experience

Ability to program HVAC related software after training
