Job summary

Johnson Controls in Edmonton, Alberta is looking for a Controls Systems Technician to join our field team. You will perform system commissioning, troubleshoot basic HVAC mechanical and electrical problems, and respond to service calls with a focus on reliability and customer satisfaction.

You will load system controller software, conduct diagnostics from controllers to end devices, calibrate sensors, and complete all commissioning documentation while keeping the customer and project team

Qualifications

• Requires a 2-year degree in electronics or HVAC-related field, or 2+ years of industry experience.
• Knowledge of HVAC controls, facilities management systems, site preparation and servicing techniques.
• Strong communication and leadership to support the activities of Mechanics on job sites.

Troubleshoots and resolves basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems. Responds to basic warranty calls. Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service related items. Leadership skills to support the activities of Mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical Building Automation equipment on a job site.* PC experience required and the ability to program HVAC related software.HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $30.38 - $41.34 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
