Job summary

Elby Professional Recruitment is seeking a highly organized Supply Chain Administrator for a temporary contract role in Canada. You will assist with inventory control, shipping, purchasing support and logistics to keep orders moving and collaborate with vendors.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, strong attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem solving in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in supply chain, logistics, shipping or related environment.
• Hands-on experience with shipping documentation, customs brokers, freight coordination.
• Experience in manufacturing, custom build, or project-based environment preferred.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail, with ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Effective communication with vendors and internal teams.
• Experience with inventory or scheduling systems.
• QuickBooks and Smartsheet experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Count and reconcile physical inventory against digital inventory records.
• Prepare or interpret shipping and customs documentation using templates.
• Coordinate with vendors to prioritize and expedite orders based on changing schedules.
• Support purchasing activities and vendor communication.
• Coordinate and book trucks and freight shipments.
• Assist with customs brokerage and border clearance processes.
• Create and process invoices and other shipping related documentation.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure high quality and attention to detail.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure materials and orders are available when needed.
