Job summary

Ledcor is seeking a Construction Safety Officer to provide field leadership and implement Health, Safety, and Environmental programs on commercial construction sites in Vancouver. You will help project teams develop and implement safety plans aligned with Ledcor's zero-incidents goal.

The role requires CSO/NCSO or equivalent, 3+ years of experience, and strong HS&E knowledge; you will conduct inspections, support incident investigations, manage documentation, and help site personnel maintain

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years health and safety experience on construction sites.
• Accredited CSO or NCSO designation required or in process.
• CRSP or similar asset is a plus.
• OFA Level 3 certification is required.
• Strong computer skills with MS Office suite.
• Thorough knowledge of local safety acts and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist project teams by promoting Ledcor HS&E standards on site.
• Conduct inspections and document compliance with safety policies.
• Identify corrective actions and educate supervisors and subcontractors.
• Support incident investigations with project staff and contractors.
• Organize HS&E documentation and share with relevant groups.
• Review incident reports and trends to recommend improvements.
• Develop and implement site safety plans and job hazard analyses.
• Provide advisory guidance on local regulations affecting safety.
