Job summary

The Lark Group of Companies is seeking an Assistant Safety Manager to support the HSE program across multiple project sites in British Columbia. The role is hands-on, primarily on active sites, performing CSO duties and assisting with pre-construction safety planning, audits and training.

You will travel between LPL projects as needed, help maintain COR certification, participate in safety inspections, investigations and incident reporting, and work under the HSE Manager to elevate on-site

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.
• Minimum 5 years as a Construction Safety Officer or equivalent.
• CSO certification required; CRSP is an asset.
• Valid WorkSafeBC Advanced First Aid certificate.
• Willing to travel between project sites on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day field safety on LPL projects.
• Develop and implement the LPL OH&S program and manuals.
• Coordinate Safety Committees and track actions.
• Assist with pre-construction safety planning and risk assessments.
• Lead or assist investigations of incidents and root causes.
• Maintain first aid equipment and safety supplies.
• Travel between project sites to provide safety coverage.
