Job summary

Onni Group in Port Coquitlam, BC, is seeking a Construction Safety Officer to lead health and safety on a high-rise development site. You will ensure compliance, conduct daily site inspections, and coordinate first aid and safety activities with the superintendent.

The role requires OFA2 or OFA3, Fall Protection certification, and at least two years on construction sites. Strong organization and clear communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2-years’ experience on construction sites.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Physical capability to safely perform work onsite.

Responsibilities

• Opening and closing a site.
• Perform any manual labour (cleanup, sweeping, packing materials).
• Organize areas and general construction maintenance.
• Daily safety site inspections.
• Weekly/monthly reporting.
• Provide site safety orientations for all visitors.
• Attend to injuries on-site and provide treatment.
• Report injuries, near misses, or hazards.
