Job summary

WoodGreen seeks a Manager, Maintenance - Building Services & Capital Projects to lead building systems, capital work, and safety programs at St. Hilda’s/800 Vaughan Road, Toronto.

You will supervise maintenance staff, manage budgets, and coordinate external contractors to ensure reliable, safe housing operations. The role requires 5+ years in facilities management, a relevant degree, and strong leadership, budgeting, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or college diploma in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of facilities management experience in building services and capital projects.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices and regulations (HSA/WHMIS).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and team building skills.
• Understanding and experience with budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and staffing.
• Oversee work orders, contractor sign-offs, and inventory records.
• Lead staff development and recruitment within building services.
• Prepare maintenance work plans, operating budgets, and capital expenditures.
• Ensure fire safety procedures and codes are followed.
